1. Website ownership
This legal notice governs the use of the website consulado-guatemalteco.com (hereinafter "the Site"), an editorial information project whose owner is responsible for its content. For any communication, write to info@consulado-guatemalteco.com.
2. The Site is independent
The Site is not an official website of the Government of Guatemala, its Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINEX), the Embassy of Guatemala in the United States or any Guatemalan consulate. It has no institutional, contractual or representative relationship with them.
Its purpose is to bring together in one place, in plain language, the information those institutions publish: addresses, phone numbers, opening hours, consular districts and how to book an appointment. Procedures are always carried out before the Guatemalan authorities, never on this Site. The official portal is minex.gob.gt, and appointments are booked at citaconsularguatemala.com.
3. Purpose and accuracy of the information
The information is compiled from public sources —the MINEX, Embassy and individual consulate websites— and reviewed periodically. Even so, consular details change without notice: a consulate may move, change its hours or phone number, or update the requirements for a procedure from one day to the next.
So before travelling or paying any fee, always confirm the detail with your consulate or on the official portal. This Site helps you understand and prepare the procedure; the consular authority has the final word.
4. Limitation of liability
The owner is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the Site, from any inability to access it, or from decisions taken on the basis of outdated or incomplete information. Nor is the owner liable for journeys, waiting times, fees paid or missed appointments: handling procedures is solely a matter for the Guatemalan authorities.
5. Links to third-party sites
The Site links to official pages and third-party services for the reader's convenience. Those links imply no approval of, or control over, their content, terms or privacy policies. Once you follow them, the rules of the destination site apply.
Be wary of sites or individuals charging to "speed up" Guatemalan consular appointments. Booking at citaconsularguatemala.com is free, and no intermediary gets one sooner.
6. Intellectual property
The text, structure and design of the Site are the work of its owner and are protected by intellectual property law. You may quote them by citing the source and linking to the original page; bulk reproduction and commercial exploitation are not permitted without authorisation.
The names, coats of arms and emblems of the State of Guatemala and its institutions belong to their owners and are used here for identification and information purposes only.
7. Advertising

8. Applicable law
