- Register with your email, or sign in if you already have an account.
- Select "Estados Unidos" as your country of residence.
- Choose the consulate that covers where you live, according to its consular district.
- Select the type of procedure (passport, DPI, power of attorney, TICG and so on).
- Pick an available date and time.
- Enter your details (DPI or passport number) and confirm the appointment.
- Save or print the confirmation with your assigned reference number.

What to bring to your appointment
The documents depend on the procedure, but in general you will need:
- For a Guatemalan passport: your previous passport (if any), a valid DPI or birth certificate, a passport-size photograph (some consulates take it on site), your appointment confirmation and the fee.
- For the DPI: a Guatemalan birth certificate or your previous DPI, plus documents proving your identity. Check the current requirements with your consulate.
- For the TICG: a valid DPI or Guatemalan passport, proof of address in the US, your appointment confirmation and a photograph.
- For a power of attorney: a valid DPI or Guatemalan passport, the text of the power (digital or printed) and your appointment confirmation.

As a rule, Guatemalan consulates in the US serve people from their own district first. For a passport you can generally use any Guatemalan consulate in the US, but some procedures (registering a birth, powers of attorney) may require you to live in the district. Check with that consulate before booking.
What happens if I miss my appointment at the Guatemalan consulate?
